SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS

Once selected, candidates should immediately contact the Brazilian Agency for Cooperation (ABC) in order to confirm their participation.

The selected candidate must then submit the following documents to the ABC, electronically , by e-mail  tctpabc@abc.gov.br:

  • Copy of the passport identification pages (picture and personal data);
  • Personal data form, full field and signed (model here).

ABC will forward all the information to the Brazilian Embassy regarding the visa arrangements, as well as for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Training Executing Institute to arrange transport, insurance, accommodation and daily payment.

The program will pay to the selected foreign participants the following items:

  • International airfare (round trip) in economy class;
  • Airport taxes;
  • Transportation airport / hotel / airport;
  • Accommodation in a hotel designated by the Executing Agency;
  • Breakfast is included in the accommodation tariff;
  • Travel insurance coverage with basic emergency needs (Insurance) , from arrival in Brazil to departure for the country of origin;
  • The daily allowance will be of US$ 30.00 for meals, personal expenses and consumables during the training. The amounts will be paid in Real (Brazilian currency).

Important Notes:

  • NO be borne by the Japanese or Brazilian side additional costs such as:
    • Additional expenses;
    • taxes and government fees;
    • visa fees;
    • fees for regularization of visa to stay in Brazil (register in the FPD, office, etc.);
    • Excess or loss of luggage (Insurance);
    • health care, dental, birth, medical exams, check ups, medicines, etc., are not covered by travel insurance;
    The executing agencies and coordinators will inform in the case of any other item not to be paid by the project.

  • Withdrawals / Absences:

    The withdrawal after the airfare ticketing, receiving of the daily payment or no-attendance / no-use due to unexcused absences to the activities of the course, even for medical treatment (non-emergency), will result in contract termination with the Coordinator Institution and JICA, dispensing them from the payment of any costs - forcing the  participant / Institution that indicated him in his country of origin to pay for the REFUND of expenses incurred on the coming of the foreign participation.
